Teacher Grants for up to $1,500 Available

The Turning Foundation is announcing a new round of Innovative Teacher Mini-Grants for 2012. The foundation is seeking applications from classroom teachers in a four county area (Ashtabula, Columbiana, Trumbull and Mahoning Counties) targeting innovative and creative practices focused on developing 21st Century Classrooms. Through a competitive grant process, teachers either as individuals or teams, will be given the opportunity to apply for up to $1,500 per project to support efforts to integrate technologies in innovative and creative ways in K-12 classrooms. Selection priorities in the application process include projects that:
• Connect creative and innovative practice to student achievement and school improvement
• Develop partnerships between schools and/or classrooms, and/or between classrooms and business/industry and community partners
• Develop creative and innovative practices that can be shared with and potentially replicated by other local teachers and schools

For more details regarding the grant... and for the grant application, please see the attached files. Applications are due November 21, 2012.
